meet claris
Hey there, I'm Claris and I'm happy you landed on my page.
I've never practiced a sport professionally, but people always ask me about my background. The honest truth is that I've been "in the industry" for the past 15 years, just making my way through it.
I wanted to study sport science but ended up studying Advertising… yep, boringgggggg.
But wellness was always present in me — something I read about, listened to, and experienced in my own body. I guess that's why I ended up opening a healthy coffee shop in Barcelona at the age of 23. My way of giving a little bit of who I am to the world.
After 6 years of hustling hard, a pandemic with a restaurant on my hands, and a burnout that could have taken me all the way down — I realized two things. That I had something much more to give. And that what had kept me standing through all of it was movement and a spiritual practice. Not just surviving the stress, but actually building resilience instead of being crushed by it. I came out the other side faster and steadier than I think I would have otherwise. That's not something I read. That's something I lived.
So I decided to stop victimizing myself for not having studied sports and make the career change. I did my IIN health coaching certification and started a master's in biomechanics while still hustling with the restaurant. 8 years later, restaurant sold and ready to embark with the new journey. And with equal parts conviction and impostor syndrome, I decided I could help people fall in love with movement.
That's how The Wholesome Workout was born. Because the fitness world keeps asking you to pick a side — beast mode or breathwork, heavy lifting or healing — and I never bought that. Strength and spirit aren't opposites. They belong together.
What I care about is the whole picture. How you move, what you eat, how you rest — and yes, your mind, your energy, your spirit. Not as extras. As the actual point.
Not a body you tolerate. One you trust. That's what we're building here.
